Hi Stampers. Welcome to March. Can you believe it?!? February just FLEW by! Today’s blog post uses the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Peacock from the 2018 Sale-A-Bration brochure. We, at Global Stamping Friends, were challenged to make a card using: Lemon Lime Twist, Island Indigo and Early Espresso.
Here is my card:
This card started with an Early Espresso card base, 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″. Next up is a 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ layer of Island Indigo card stock. I used one of the flourishes from the Beautiful Peacock stamp set and stamped randomly all over this layer with Island Indigo ink. On top of that I added a 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″ layer of Lemon Lime Twist, stamped with the same stamp in Lemon Lime Twist Ink. The focal layer is 2 3/4″ x 4″ of Whisper White. I stamped the Beautiful Peacock in Lemon Lime Twist and Island Indigo ink and the sentiment in Early Espresso ink. That layer was put on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and finished off with a few Rhinestones.
The interior of the card has a 4″ x 5 1/4″ layer of Whisper White card stock. In order to have the inside compliment the outside, I stamped the flourishes in Lemon Lime Twist and Island Indigo ink in the corners and the sentiment in the center with Early Espresso ink. I hope this card inspires you to get inky! If you need supplies, I will provide a list of supplies used below that links to my online store.
