Hi Stampers. Yesterday, I shared a snowflake spinner card with you. (See that post HERE). Today’s post is a spinner card using the Snowman Builder Punch, along with a simpler non spinner version that is also cute.

Yesterday’s card showed you how to set up the layers and die cut the circle out of all three layers for our spinner card.  Assembling the spinner element is done using the snowman.

Two snowmen are stamped in Memento Black ink and punched out using the Snowman Builder Punch. The arms are punched out of Early Espresso CS and the hat is punched out of Basic Black CS. Before sandwiching the two snowmen together, the arms and fishing line is attached to one so they are secured in the middle.

It’s then taped to the card base and the other two layers go over the top.  The two hats are attached, one to either side. The nose is colored using a Stampin’ Blend.

Inside the spinner card is a layer of Whisper White, with the sentiment, snowman and snowflakes all stamped in Seaside Spray ink. The buttons and nose are then colored using Stampin’ Blends.

Non-Spinner Card Version:

This card is almost the same, except it’s just one snowman adhered to the inside layer by dimensionals.

From the outside it looks almost the same, but here is a view of the inside. The snowman and snowflakes for this card were stamped in Misty Moonlight ink.

A Variation On Colors:

Here is another version of the snowman on the inside, using Highland Heather and Pacific Point CS and Seaside Spray ink.

I love that I can use the same design, stamps, punch and DSP but get a completely different look.  Changing the colors gave this one a brighter feel.

Unfortunately the DSP has retired, but the stamp set and punch are in the Annual Catalog and still available. Here in Idaho, we have at least three more months of snow. So I will still have use for this bundle for a while. 🙂
