Hi Stampers. How do you do your designing? Do you try to stick with a suite of products or bundle with coordinating DSP or do you mix it up? I’ve been mixing it up lately. Today, for my happy birthday card, I’m using Hydrangea Haven DSP with the Prized Peony (and Lighthearted Lines) stamp set.
This card starts with a Mossy Meadow card base followed by a layer of the Hydrangea Hill DSP. They go together perfectly! (I love how our cardstocks and inks color coordinate with our DSPs. This makes designing so much easier!) Using Highland Heather ink I stamped the flower from the Prized Peony stamp set and the Happy Birthday from the Lighthearted Lines stamp set.
The happy birthday sentiment is stamped on a Basic White CS strip that is 1″ x 5-1/4″. Under that is a strip of Gorgeous Grape that has been die cut using the Basic Borders Dies. The peony flower was die cut using the Layering Circles Dies and a slightly larger scalloped circle was die cut from Highland Heather CS, using the same dies. The strip was adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Seal and the circles were adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Inside the card is a layer of Basic White CS with the sentiment stamped in the center and flowers across the top with Highland Heather ink. While the card is made from two different stamp sets, two different sets of dies and a different DSP – they go together perfectly! Ah, the joys of using Stampin’ Up! products – coordination! I love it!
