Hi, Stamper. Wowza, there has been a lot to keep up on with Stampin’ Up! lately. With the new Stampin’ Up! 2024-2025 Annual Catalog coming right around the corner (and some price increases) – there are Last Chance Products sale with some pretty big discounts. You can see those lists here, sorted in various ways:
Annual Catalog Retirements Lists
Jan-Apr Mini Catalog Retirements Lists
I have been quite sad about several items that are retiring, some of which are already sold out. Today, I took a good look at what’s left and am showing you my Top 10 retiring products (that are still available as of my writing this post).
#1 Cloud Punch
Punches are always quick and easy and the cloud is a good basic shape. There are so many card layouts where this Cloud Punch can make a perfect background element or a label for the sentiment.
#2 Banners Pick-A-Punch
While flagging the end of strips of cardstock is simple enough with the Paper Snips, this Banners Pick-a-Punch makes it even easier!
#3 Basic Borders Dies
The Basic Border Dies are great for creating a decorative edge on an envelope, a card or a card layer. One of my favorite uses of these dies was to create a mask – such as the cloud one I made below in this tip graphic.
#4 Tailor Made Tags Dies
The Tailor Made Tags Dies make great tags to be used as tags, but also as a layer on a card. Did you know that you can extend the length of the die cut by laying the plate on part of the die and running it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, moving the die down while overlapping a section already cut and now laying the plate on just this new part of the die cut and running it through.
#5 Give It A Whirl Dies
The Give It a Whirl Dies are a great way to make an interactive card! CLICK HERE to see one of my favorite cards I’ve done with this set.
#6 Pastel Adhesive Backed Sequins
It’s often said that a card is not finished until you add a little bling. But, when sending that card through the postal service in an envelope, it’s important that the bling doesn’t puncture the envelope. These Pastel Adhesive Backed Sequins are the perfect answer – they add bling, but don’t puncture the envelope!
#7 Sheer Ribbon Combo Pack
We know that I love bright pretty colors and not only are these ribbons bright pretty colors, they are decorative without being too thick, the Sheer Ribbon Combo Pack makes great bows. These ribbons can also be added to the card flat without adding bulk, again allowing it to go through the mail without upping the cost.
#8 Lighter Than Air DSP
This Lighter Than Air Designer Series Paper is so pretty! I’m really going to miss this one! Not, only does it match the Hot Air Balloon bundle (stamps & dies carry over) but it makes great birthday cards!
#9 Apple Harvest Stamp Set
This list of top 10 retiring items from a stamp company wouldn’t be complete without stamps. My first stamp set on the list is the Apple Harvest stamp set. I love to color these using the various methods of Stampin’ Up! coloring – water coloring with Aqua Painters, watercolor pencils and the Stampin’ Blends. It’s also an item (apples) that I did not see in an upcoming stamp set. I will keep these util we have new apples that I like as well.
#10 In The Moment Stamp Set
I’m rounding out my list with another stamp set that is fun to color. CLICK HERE to see an example. This In The Moment stamp set has some pretty images and some nice sentiments to pair with them.
