Hi, stampers! Have you tried the Stack, Cut & Shuffle card-making technique? This fun and easy method is perfect for creating handmade cards quickly, making it a great go-to when you need cards in a hurry. For this project, I used the Toadstool Gardens Designer Series Paper (DSP)—a whimsical and colorful paper pack that coordinates perfectly with the Terrific Toadstools Bundle. Best of all, the Toadstool Gardens DSP is a Level 1 Sale-A-Bration item, which means you can earn it for FREE with a $60 Stampin’ Up! order during Sale-A-Bration! Don’t miss your chance to add this gorgeous designer paper to your collection.

For this technique, I used three pieces of Toadstool Gardens Designer Series Paper, each measuring 3-3/4″ x 5″. I stacked them together and placed them in my paper trimmer to make the first diagonal cut, starting approximately 1 inch down on the right side and cutting toward the center of the left side. After setting the top sections aside, I made a second cut on the remaining pieces, trimming from the bottom right corner to about 1 inch in from the top left edge – as shown in photo. These measurements are just a guide, so there’s no need for exact precision when making the cuts.

After completing the “stack” and “cut” steps, the next part of the process is the shuffle. I arranged the three different patterned pieces so that each card featured one of each design, creating a balanced and cohesive look. Once the Toadstool Gardens DSP was in place, I adhered the pieces to a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Basic White cardstock. This panel was then attached to a Berry Burst card base, measuring 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″, bringing the design together beautifully.

I kept the sentiment on the front of the handmade card simple to highlight the card-making technique. Using the My Small Business stamp set, I stamped “thank you” in Highland Heather ink onto Basic White cardstock scraps. I then used a 1-3/4″ circle punch to cut it out. To add contrast and dimension, I layered it onto a slightly larger circle punched from Highland Heather cardstock with a 2″ circle punch before adhering it to the card. This clean and elegant design ensures the sentiment complements the overall look without overpowering the technique.
