Hi, Stamper! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today. I’m excited to inspire you with another unique fun fold card idea—the Side Pillar Card. This creative design is both eye-catching and easy to mail, making it a perfect choice for your next handmade card project.
My Side Pillar Card begins with a Pretty in Pink card base, scored and folded to create a dimensional “pillar” on the left side of the card. When opened, the pillar stands up for display, and when folded flat, it fits perfectly into an envelope for easy mailing. I decorated the pillar with the gorgeous Lovely Garden Designer Series Paper, adding beautiful color and pattern to the base.
For the focal point of my Side Pillar Card, I created a layered arch using the Everyday Arches Dies. The sentiment, from the Everyday Arches stamp set, was stamped in Pretty in Pink ink on Basic White cardstock for a soft, elegant look. To bring the design to life, I added a delicate flower die-cut with the Impressions Abloom Dies and adhered it to the arched layer. This piece was then matted with a slightly larger Pretty in Pink arch, creating a beautiful frame that adds depth and contrast. The finished focal point was attached to the pillar, and when the card is folded flat, it aligns perfectly in the center of the front—an eye-catching and sophisticated detail that truly makes this fun fold card stand out.
To the right of the pillar, I added a smaller top-fold card covered in more of the Lovely Garden DSP for extra charm and coordination. Inside, a simple Basic White layer is stamped with the word “hello” in Melon Mambo ink using the Everyday Arches stamp set. This small touch adds warmth and a pop of color to complete the design.
