Pals Blog Hop December Blog Hop BadgeHi Stampers.  Welcome to the Pals’ Blog Hop! We’re so glad you’re here because we made some great projects for our Retirement Fun Fold Party  – showcasing our favorite products from the Holiday Catalog that will be leaving us forever. You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

As we get closer to Christmas and I fall further behind, I’m constantly looking for quick and easy cards that pack a WOW.  That’s why I LOVE the Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper – it is so beautiful, it does most of the work for you!

Stampin' Up! Frosted Foliage stamp set with Feels Like Frost DSP fancy fold handmade card by Lisa Ann Bernard of Queen B Creations

I cut a standard card base in Seaside Spray and added a layer of the Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper.  Next, I cut a circle in the upper center of the card front.  I then cut a slightly larger scalloped circle from Silver Glimmer Paper and then used the same circle I used on the card front to remove the center of the scallop circle.  This left me with a frame of sorts that I then glued to the card front.

Some of you may be wondering – “why is she featuring this gorgeous paper that we can no longer get”.  Well, the good news is that it is one of the items that will be in the 2020 Holiday Catalog!  For the first time ever, Stampin’ Up! will be carrying a few items from this holiday catalog to next years holiday catalog.  So, while it may not be order able until next fall – It will be back!  Check out the the closeout and carry over lists below to see which items will be discontinued and which ones are coming back. Some of those that are being discontinued have been discounted!

The inside of the card is where the “fancy fold” part comes in.  For the inside layer I cut a piece of Whisper White CS 8″ x 5-1/4″ and scored at 4″.  After folding at the score line, (with the fold on the right side) I stamped the interior sentiment on the inside using Night of Navy ink.  I stamped the snowflakes from the Frosted Foliage stamp set on the corners of the top of this Whisper White layer – as shown in photo. It was then glued to the interior of my card with the fold on the opposite side.  After the Whisper White layer was attached I stamped the sentiment – also from the Frosted Foliage stamp set in Night of Navy ink – through the front circle with the card closed.  That made sure that the sentiment was fully disable with the card closed. It’s done.  How quick and easy was that?!?!?

More inspiration awaits! Use the Blog Hop Line-up below to visit the rest of this month’s Design Team. My fellow Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created!
