Forever Greenery Dragonfly Garden

Hi Stampers. Welcome back for another Forever Greenery DSP card.  Today I paired it with the Dragonfly Garden bundle. Can you tell that I’m trying to use it up before it retires? LOL This card also features more of my favorite items that are retiring. The Dandy Garden DSP (that fits the Dragonfly Punch), Stitched Nested Label Dies, 2-1/4″ punch, 2″ punch, Pretty Peacock cardstock/ink and the enamel dots.

Stampin' Up! Dragonfly Garden Forever Greenery handmade card by Lisa Ann Bernard of Queen B Creations

This card started with a Just Jade card base, 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″. That is followed by a 5-1/4″ x 4″ layer of Forever Greenery DSP.  Next is my favorite part, I used the largest of the Stitched Nested Labels Dies to die cut a Pretty Peacock label and cut it in half and placed it on either side with the points in the middle. A few Just Jade enamel dots give the card a bit of bling.

Over the points in the middle is a 2-1/4″ circle punched out of Just Jade CS adhered to the card front with stampin’ dimensionals.  The sentiment was stamped onto a 2″ circle of Basic White CS in Pretty Peacock ink and adhered it over the Just Jade circle. Using the Dragonfly Punch, I punched the dragonflies out of a piece of the Dandy Garden DSP. Those were adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Inside the card is a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Basic White CS.  I used Pretty Peacock ink and the Dragonfly Garden stamp set to stamp dragonflies on the inside.

Forever Greenery Pierced Blooms

Hi Stampers. How’s the weather where you are?  It can’t seem to make up it’s mind here in Idaho.  My flowers had started blooming, then we got snow, now we are supposed to hit 80 degrees for Easter weekend. Speaking of flowers, have you used the Pierced Blooms Dies?  They make some really pretty flowers and there are LOTS of dies, so you can cut out many flowers at once.

Stampin’ Tip: Cut out several colors of flowers at once and store the extra pieces in a clear envelope and place them inside the coordinating stamp case.

Today’s card is a Granny Apple Green card base, 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″.  This is followed by a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Forever Greenery DSP.

The focal point of this card is a Granny Apple Green and a Basic White CS layer that was die cut using the Stitched Nested Label Dies.  These two die cuts were glued together and then attached to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Using Granny Apple Green ink and the Lovely You stamp set, I stamped the sentiment onto the Basic White.  Adding that pop of color to my card is some flowers cut out using the Pierced Blooms Dies with Bumble Bee and Granny Apple Green CS.

Inside the card is a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Basic White CS. A leftover 3/4″ strip of the Forever Greenery DSP was adhered to the left side.  Two tiny flowers, cut with the Pierced Blooms Dies, are adhered in the lower right corner.

Lovey You Stitched Nested Labels

Hi Stampers. Today I broke out the Lovely You stamp set, I don’t know why I haven’t used this more often.  Good thing it’s not retiring and I still have time to use it more. Since the latest Stampin’ Up! retirement list has been announced, I’ve been sorting products in my office and was saddened by a few things that made the list.  I knew we would be losing the 2019-2021 In-Colors (I’ve used Pretty Peacock in this card), but the Stitched Nested Labels surprised me.  I love these dies!

Stampin' Up! Lovely You Stitched Nested Labels Forever Greenery DSP card by Lisa Ann Bernard of Queen B Creations

Today’s Lovely You card is a super simple fun fold card.  I started with a card base 11″ x 4-1/4″ and scored at 5-1/2″.  The next step was to cut 2-3/4″ off the front of the card. Often, I take that piece, turn it 90 degrees and attached to the card front on the left.  But today, I used the Stitched Nested Label Dies.

This card utilizes the Lovely You stamp set and the Forever Greenery DSP.

I used a leftover 1/2″ strip of the Forever Greenery DSP to adhere to the right side of the inside layer.  The sentiment, also from the Lovely You stamp set is stamped in Pretty Peacock ink. This card goes together QUICK and is a great layout for mass producing cards.

Whale of a Time Tag Topper Card

Hi Stampers. As promised, here is the Whale of a Time coordinating card that goes with yesterday’s post. Yesterday’s card was landscaped and today’s is portrait orientation.

Both cards use all the same supplies, but give a slightly different look.

Stampin' Up! Whale Done Whale of a Time handmade thank you card portrait by Lisa Ann Bernard of Queen B Creations

This Whale of a Time card starts with a 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ Just Jade card base. I used the Delightful Tag Topper to punch a tag topper at either end and cut off the flaps to the left and right of the tag part. On one side I scored right at the edge of the tag and measured across 4-1/4″ and scored across the card. The two sides are tied together with a piece of Whisper White seam binding ribbon.

The front of the Whale of A Time card is decorated with a layer of Pretty Peacock CS followed by a layer of the Whale of a Time DSP 1/4″ smaller on both sides. I used the Whale punch to punch out the Whale from the Whale of a Time DSP and then cut a second out of scrap cardstock. Using liquid glue, I adhered the two whales together. This gave the DSP whale more stability and allowed me to mount him to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and not worry about the paper bending.

Inside the card I used the Whale Done stamp set to do all my stamping onto a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Basic White CS. The sentiment is stamped in the center using Pretty Peacock ink. In the lower right corner the coral is stamped in Calypso Coral ink and the seaweed is stamped in Old Olive ink. A few mini seahorses stamped in Just Jade can also be seen with the card closed

Baby Shark Frenzy

Hi Stampers.  Do you have kids or grand kids who were part of the Baby Shark frenzy?  It’s one of those songs that just gets stuck in your head and my grand kids love it!  So, when I saw this bundle in the catalog, I knew I had to have it!

Scroll all the way through – the Last Chance Sale PDF lists are below.

Stampin' Up! Shark Frenzy plastic wrap technique background by Lisa Ann Bernard of Queen B Creations

This Baby Shark Frenzy card started with a Basic Gray card base, 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″.  The next layer is a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Basic White CS.  I used plastic wrap to apply ink to this layer – Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, Pool Party & Coastal Cabana inks. (See video below for more on this technique).  The wording is stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink.

The Mamma and baby sharks (from the Shark Frenzy stamp set) are stamped with Memento Black ink for the outline and Basic Gray for the coloring (Mamma has Magenta Madness inked lips).  Using the Sharks Dies, I die cut them all out and also the waves from a 5-1/4″ x 2″ piece of Coastal Cabana CS.  The waves are attached to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals so that they sharks could be placed “into” the water and adhered using Stampin’ Seal.

Inside the card is a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Basic White CS with the sentiment stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink.  To help the inside coordinate with the outside of the card, I stamped another baby shark in the lower left and some bubbles in the upper right corner.  The bubbles are stamped in Pool Party ink.
