I have another gift idea for today’s post. As Christmas approaches, I think more and more about making up sets of cards to give as gifts. Those cards need a Stampin’ Up! card holder to go into, right?
I started out with 6 1/2″ x 11″ piece of cardstock and scored it at 5 1/4″ and 5 3/4″ to make the folder.
For the inside pockets, I cut two pieces of cardstock 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ and scored it on three sides 1/4″ and 1/2″ from each of the three edges.
I folded each score line and pressed with a bone folder. Then on the “pockets”, I cut up from the bottom on the left and right side on each of the vertical score lines up 1/2″.
I then added adhesive tape to the 1/4″ fold on each of the three sides – so that they will stick to the inside of the folder.
On the outside of the folder I added a small strip of designer series paper, just a little bit smaller than the 1/2″ spine. I then added a strip of adhesive strip in the center of each side of the outer side of the foder to hold a 24″ strip of ribbon in place.
I added a piece of designer series paper 6 1/4″ x 5″ on the front and back of the outside of the folder and a piece of 4″ x 3 1/2″ on top of each of the pockets on the inside.
The final touch was just to add a stamped image matted with some coordinating designer series paper and add a few cards to the pockets on the inside made from the same set of designer series paper.
What do you think? Will that make a good gift?
Happy Stamping,
Lisa
What a wonderful gift set Lisa! 🙂
