Welcome to the Pals March Blog Hop & my Happy Watercolor Card. This month we are excited to kick-off Spring with our creative projects. We hope enjoy these creations and we hope Spring finds you soon!
You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Natalie Bradley at Natalie Bradley Events, number 9 on the Pals Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations.
When we were asked to do a card for Spring, the Happy Watercolor stamp set just jumped out at me. I love the simplicity of this set. I think it’s so pretty!
In keeping with the simplicity of this set, I made a very simple card using Whisper White and Blushing Bride. The outside is a Whisper White card base (5.5″ x 8.5″ – scored at 4.25″), a layer of Blushing Bride (4″ x 4.25″) and a layer of Whisper White (3.75″ x 5″). On that I stamped the watercolor image in Blushing Bride (inked once, stamped three times) and “pssst..” also stamped in Blushing Bride. The flowers were stamped with the black StazOn ink. The sheer pink ribbon was wrapped around the top Whisper White layer before it was adhered down.
On the inside, I stamped “You make me Happy” and the dots in Blushing Bride. The simplicity of the card also makes it inexpensive to make because so few supplies are needed.
The next stop is Debbie Crowley at expressivelydeb, number 11 on the Pals Blog Hop! Thanks for visiting and I hope to see you next month.
