Happy Friday, Stampers! What do you have planned for the last weekend of May? (My son, Troy, turns 23 on Saturday. Wow, I’m old!) Can you believe it will be June on Sunday?? Wow, this year has gone FAST! Only six more weeks until Stampin’ Up! Convention 2014. You still have time to sign up and get your admission ticket (a $295 value) for FREE! See yesterday’s post about the new (limited release) $50 demo kit.
Today’s card was made with the Peachy Keen Stamp set and the On Film framelit dies. The Peachy Keen stamp set retires June 1st at the end of our beautiful Occasions catalog. The On Film framelit dies carry over into the new annual catalog being released June 2nd. Hopefully, you already have a copy of our great new catalog and are making up your wish list already. If not, email me, and I will be sure you get a copy ASAP!
The card base is done is Whisper White. The Sweet Sorbet designer series paper (DSP) from the Sale-a-Bration in January – I got TONS of that stuff for FREE! Hopefully, you got some too, it’s yummy! The bottom of the card is a layer of Basic Black that was run through the big shot with the Decorative Dots embossing folder. It too, was a free option during Sale-a-bration – but will be in the new annual catalog. The satin ribbon is pool party. I made two loops and made a bow in the middle of the ribbon and then tucked the ends behind the layer and adhered them down.
The sentiment, from the Peachy Keen stamp set (only available a few more days) was inked up with the brush end of the Pool Party and Calypso Coral Stampin’ Write markers and stamped onto a scrap of Whisper White. It’s a great way to make one stamp – multi-colored.
The film strip frame is part of the On Film framelit dies and was cut out in Basic Black and then layered onto the sentiment and then adhered to the card. Kinda cute, huh?
All these products and more can be ordered in my online store.
Happy Stamping!
