Hi there stampers!  I’ve been busy working on some custom orders the last week.  This baby shower invitation was just one of them. I made 50 – count them – 50 baby shower invitations.

She contacted me and asked if I could make a card – kinda like this:

Note: I did a google search and found the original artwork on this blog

These were a couple other versions I made – but the top card won.  Then I just had to make 50 of them.

The baby caveman, plant and egg I cut out with my Pazzles eCutter.  I then used the Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Grunge stamp set to add the black spots to his shirt and the woodgrain to his club. The phrase was printed from my computer onto the cardstock when it was a full sheet (used the postcard template in Publisher for placement), then I just cut it down to the four pieces I needed from each sheet.

The dinosaur was made using all Stampin’ Up! punches (I found that idea on Pinterest – see the related blog post is here).

I didn’t have the 5 petal flower punch – so I used the Blossom Builder punch and I didn’t have the Heart to Heart heart punch – so I used two petals from the Petite Petal punch. So, I’ve done a few tweaks, but this gives you her original idea.

It goes to show that you can find all sorts of ideas on the internet and not have to copy exactly – just tweak it and make it your own.  This idea worked for my purpose – what can you come up with?
