Happy Monday, stampers! I hope you had a good weekend. Yesterday it was 106 degrees in Ukiah, so we headed for the coast! We spent the day in Fort Bragg, CA and visited Glass Beach. From 1906 to 1949, the ocean WAS the city dump. I can’t even imagine looking at that beautiful ocean and thinking – “Now, THIS is where we should dump all our trash.” What were they thinking?!?!?
Eventually, they did realize the error of their ways and did a huge clean up at one point. Thankfully! The left over good result was the beautiful smooth glass that is now the beach.
In honor of all the beautiful sea life we saw yesterday I have created this card for the MOJO Monday sketch challenge:
It’s a Crumb Cake card base with a 2″ x 5.5″ strip of Pear Pizzaz with some washi tape and straight lines made with a Chocolate Chip Stampin’ Write Marker and a ruler, with a few candy dots in the lower left corner. The circle and the banner were cut out with framelits and the stamp set used for the graphics is By The Sea. The thank you is from the Something to Say stamp set. I like the masculine look of this card.
Happy Stamping!
