Happy Sunday, Stampers!  I hope you are enjoying your weekend.  I’ve been hiding from the heat – it was over 100 degrees yesterday in Ukiah, CA. I’m very thankful for air conditioning this time of year!  Today I have another project we did at Stampin’ Up! Convention 2014 – Inspire, Create, Share in Salt Lake City, Utah.

This project uses our notecards/envelopes and the gift card enclosure pack.  The note cards come pre-cut and pre-scored, with matching envelopes. Pretty easy so far, right? I then used the Amazing Birthday stamp set and stamped the main stamp in Lost Lagoon onto the notecard.  I then inked up the bottom of the stamp with Tangelo Twist and stamped it onto Whisper White and used my paper snips to cut out the “AMAZING”, I cut a strip of Crumb Cake card stock and cut little flags at the end and used snail to adhere that to the notecard and then put the “AMAZING” over the top with dimensionals.  For a final touch, I punched a star out of gold glimmer paper using the Itty Bitty Accents punch pack.

For the holder, i used one of the Gift Card Enclosures.  I measured over 1/2″ from the score lines on three sides and scored again.  I then folded in those three flaps and adhered them together with sticky strip.  A stip of Designer Series Paper was used as a belly band and a piece of Whisper White bakers twine was wrapped around twice and tied in a bow.

Stampin’ Tip: I wrapped the bakers twine around the item twice and tied the bow BEFORE cutting it from the packaging.  This makes sure there is no waste.

The star was cut from Gold Glimmer paper with the Star Framelits on the Big Shot.  To make it 3D, I scored from each tip, to the center and folded on those lines.  It is adhered to the holder with dimensionals near the tips of the star.  I then stamped the large stamp in Hello Honey and Real Red and cut out the pieces I needed for the front of the holder.  I also stamped the Happy Happy Birthday to You in Real Red and cut them out with the snips too.  They are adhered with snail adhesive.

There you have it a quick and easy gift to give someone special.
