Hi Stampers! I want to wish you all a very happy 4th of July! We plan on spending it with friends doing barbeque. Due to the severe droughts we have been having here in Northern California – I think I will stay clear of fireworks this year.
This patriotic card starts out with a Night of Navy card base and a 5.25″ x 4″ layer of Whisper White. I used the Work of Art stamp set to stamp the flag.
Stampin’ Tip: The Night of Navy “square” was done first. I then stamped it again on a post it note and cut it out with paper snips. I layered the post it note exactly on top of the Night of Navy before stamping the Real Red stripes. Then removed the post it note. This made it appear that the stripes were behind the blue.
I then used the star from the Perfect Pennants stamp with Versamark ink and white embossing powder to make the star on the blue. The saying is from the Yippee Skippee stamp set. (I added that because I am giving it to a friend I’m excited to see tonight). It was stamped in Night of Navy onto a scrap of Whisper White and sponged with Night of Navy on the edges and adhered with dimensionals.
