Hi there, Stampers! Last week, at Stampin’ Up! 2014 convention – Inspire, Create, Share, was awesome! We got to see the new catalog, purchase new products and even use them in classes. This is one of the projects we made. I will list out below all products used, if you don’t see it in the list – it’s new! There is lots of fun new stuff!
The box is new. It’s called a “take out box”. It measures 3.5″ x 4.25″ and is 2.5″ high when all folded together. It comes pre-cut and pre-scored as a set of 6 (food safe, acid free). A piece of our new wrapping paper is wrapped around it (yes, you heard me right. We will be carrying wrapping paper in our Holiday catalog!!!) and then a super soft piece of 3/8″ stitched satin ribbon in Mossy Meadow is wrapped around and tied in a bow.
The tag was made with a 2″ strip of Whisper White cardstock and the scallop tag topper punch. The image is from a new stamp set (that will be available August 28th). I inked up the stamp in Hello Honey ink and then used a sponge dauber to add some Tangelo Twist to the middle of the stamp and then pressed it onto the cardstock. Nice blending of colors, don’t you think?
Stampin’ Tip: The new Holiday Catalog will also have framelits of feathers. I don’t have those yet, so I used a “leaf” shape from the Flower Flair framelit set to cut the shape out of the Gold Shimmer paper and then used the very tip of the banner punch to cut little tiny triangles out of the edge of the “leaf” every so often, giving it the look of a feather.
As the finishing touch, I punched a 1/8″ circle in the top of the “feather” and used the Gold Bakers Twine to tie the tag, the “feather” and one of the new Autumn Wooden Elements (aren’t they cute!?!).
Happy Stamping,
Such a pretty tag and package!!
