Hi there, Stampers! Today I just wanted to share with you this super cute “roommate gift” I got from, Judy Contreras, one of my Stampin’ Up! convention roommates. It was super handy for taking notes at convention. Cute AND practical – don’t you just LOVE Stampin’ Up?!?
She took an ordinary composition notebook and recovered it with Maritime Designer Series Paper and Real Red cardstock. To cover the edge of the DSP, where it touched the binding she added some 1/8″ tafita ribbon. The image in the middle is the ship for the Traveler stamp set stamped in Night of Navy ink onto Whisper White cardstock and punched out with the 2 3/8″ scallop circle punch and matted with a few more circles cut from the circle framelits in Real Red and Night of Navy cardstock. She also used framelits to cut out the stars in the same colors and accented with a Rhinestone in the middle.
Can you now see how this can be done with almost any Designer Series Paper, cardstock and stamp set combination? The ideas are endless! Right now is the perfect time to go pick up some of those plain composition notebooks while all the school supplies are on sale for super cheap and our DSP is on sale buy 3 get one FREE! Shop here.
I will be decorating some of these to sell at the craft fairs in our area coming up this fall and listing some on my Etsy store. I’m sorry the store needs some updating – but I do have lots to sell and love to do custom orders! Just shoot me an email.
Wanna learn how to do it yourself? Come to one of my classes or book at workshop at your home! Email me and we can set you up!
