Happy Friday, Stampers! We did it, we made it through the week. If you had asked me if that was possible on Tuesday – it would have been an answer of “there is no way!”. But, alas…. here I am…. a bit worse for wear, but I made it! I even got some crafting time in this week.
I played around with one of our awesome new Host sets from the 2014-2015 Stampin’ Up! annual catalog. It’s called Life’s Adventure. Here is my card:
This was the second or third card of the day and I had this piece of 5.5″ x 8.5″ cardstock that I had punched the butterfly out of for the previous card. As I looked at it, i thought I could work it into my design. So, I have the Calypso Coral cardbase (with the butterfly already punched). I then used the #5 banner framelit (counting from the inside out), to cut some Designer Series Paper from the All Abloom DSP paper stack. The bicycle is from the Life’s Adventure Host set (5 super cute stamps for just $11 host credit). I stamped it in black Staz on in for the bicycle and the Calypso Coral marker to ink up the words (they are one stamp), then colored with the Calypso Coral and Crisp Cantaloupe markers. I then used the big shot and the #3 framelit from the labels collection and adhered with dimensionals.
Stampin’ Tip: To ink the stamp in multiple colors, turn it over and place stamp on the table. If it’s a large area you can tap on the stamp with the pad to ink part of it (which is what I did with the bicycle). To color smaller areas, use the brush end of the Stampin’ Markers (which is what I did for the words on this stamp).
I lined the inside of the card with a 5.25″ x 4″ layer of Whisper White cardstock. With the card closed, I sponged Calypso Coral ink into the whole where the butterfly was punched out using a sponge dauber.
