Happy Friday, Stampers!  It’s Friday!  Oh, Happy Day!!  I have a workshop tomorrow for one of my favorite hostesses and Sunday is her birthday – so, today I’m sharing a birthday card with you!
z fold birthday cardThis card is a z-fold.  I started with a 11″ x 4.15″ piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock.  I scored at 5.5″ and again at 2.75″.  On one edge I used the scalloped edge punch to punch and right next to that I stamped lines from the Stampin’ Up! Chalk Lines stamp set in Rich Razzleberry ink.  For the inside of the card I used a 5.25″ x 4″ piece of Whisper White cardstock and a 1″ x 4″ piece of (retired) Birthday Basics designer series paper.  I then used a matching 2″ x 4″ piece of DSP to place on the front of the card. (I’m sorry it’s retired – I try not to use retired stuff – I just have SO much of it!  I am making cards to sell this holiday season to use it all up.)

The phrase Oh, Happy Day from the Stampin’ Up! Starburst Sayings stamp set was stamped onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock in Melon Mambo ink and then used the matching Starburst framelit. I then used the circle framelits to cut out a circle just a little larger than the starburst in Rich Razzleberry cardstock to place behind the starburst using dimensionals.  I put snail adhesive on 1/2 of the circle so that it would adhere to the front of the card on the left and hang over the card on the right.
z fold birthday card topFrom this top view you get a better idea of how it’s folded.  it’s really easy and can be done in all sorts of colors with any of the designer series papers we have in our current catalogs.  I’ve done them in a variety of colors and DSPs, they are all super cute!
