Hi Stampers. I have a simple stamped card for you today. This card is done with the Stampin’ Up! set called Flower Patch. It is a clear photopolymer stamp set, which makes it really easy to do this “two step stamping” technique. You stamp the bottom (larger) flower in one color and then the top (smaller flower) over the top in a darker color.
The card base on this card is done with Elegant Eggplant cardstock. It was cut at 8.5″ x 5.5″ and scored at 4.25″. I then cut a 5.25″ x 4″ layer of Whisper White and stamped the flowers. I used Pink Pirouette and Melon Mambo, Wisteria Wonder and Elegant Eggplant, and Daffodil Delight ink for the flowers. I used Wild Wasabi ink for the leaves. I stamped the “thank you” (from the Big News stamp set), in Elegant Eggplant. To add a little sparke I added a few rhinestones in the middle of the purple flowers and some dazzling diamonds ultra fine glitter in the center of the pink flower.
Stampin’ Tip: To add the glitter to the center of the flower, I used the Stampin’ Up! Two Way Glue Pen. This is a great glue for being exact with your placement. I was able to make dots and then sprinkle the Dazzling Diamonds glitter over the top and shake off excess, then let dry. This glue goes on blue and stays wet for a little while allowing you to add adhere it to something, but if let to dry for a longer period of time, it will dry clear and be tacky to be used as re-positionable glue.
This is a card I made for a client. She had seen the cards I’ve done for other clients using a logo and asked me to make cards for her customers with her company logo. I printed the logo she gave me onto Whipser White card stock and cut it out with a Word Bubble framelit. I didn’t want a word bubble, so I just cut off that little part, leaving me with the rectangle. I then sponged a little Wisteria Wonder ink onto the edges of the rectangle and adhered it with dimensionals.
I love this Flower Patch stamp set and the matching framelits that go with it! So pretty and so many options!
Since it’s a Tuesday – I have weekly deals to share with you! These sales and all the materials used to make today’s card can be purchased in my online store.
Happy Stamping,
