Hi Stampers. I hope you enjoyed your holiday weekend. It was pretty low key at my house, although we did go to Fort Bragg on Saturday to enjoy the nice coastal weather and check out the 75th Annual Paul Bunyan Days. I just love the ocean… Today’s record flip card is birthday card for the music lover in your life.
This card starts out with a Soft Sky card base. I adhered a 5.25″ x 2 1/8″ piece of Designer Series Paper and used the flip card technique and the circle framelit die to create this base. That technique is show here in the video I filmed last April: Flip Card Technique – YouTube Video Tutorial.
For the “record” I cut a circle of Basic Black cardstock using the same circle I used for the flip. I then used a small piece of Marina Mist cardstock cut with the 3/4″ circle punch for the “record label”. The hole in the very center was cut with an anywhere hole punch (I have one of these). I used Whisper White cardstock and Marina Mist cardstock with the big shot and banner framelits to make the banner on the front of the card. Both the inside and outside sentiments are from the Stampin’ Up! Happy Hour stamp set and stamped in Marina Mist ink. I drew the music notes by hand with the Project Life journaling markers.
