Hi Stampers! Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock, you know (and trust me I try to hide under rocks and I still know…) – it’s football season! I have to admit, I’m not a big fan of pro sports of any kind. My daughter is a San Francisco Giants fan. But, as for my husband and I, pro sports just interrupts our regularly scheduled TV program. My hubby only watches the Little League World Series. He says it’s much more fun to watch the kids that the overpaid pro athletes. I have to agree, but I’d rather watch in person that on TV. Anyway…… My point is…. yes there is one – this card is for a Raiders football fan.
I was asked to make a card for a Raiders fan and looked over my stamp collection and there wasn’t a football anywhere to be found. So, I did the next best thing, I cut one out of Chocolate Chip colored card stock, sponge a little Chocolate Chip colored ink on the sides to look like dirt and added stitching with my white gel pen. Add a little silver and black card stock and – hey, it worked!
The card base is 8.5″ x 5.5″ of Basic Black card stock, scored at 4.25″. I then added a 5.25″ x 4″ layer of our silver foil card stock. I wanted a large silver border, and a small black border around the white, so the Whisper White layer of card stock is 4.25″ x 3″ with a 4 3/8″ by 3 1/8″ layer of Basic Black card stock behind that. For the sentiment, I stamped in Tuxedo Black ink and then again (off set a little) in Versamark in and them silver embossing powder of that.
I hope you like it. Leave me a comment and let me know what you would do to create a card for a football fan.
Happy Stamping,
