Hi Stampers.  As you know, I spent 5 days in Vegas for my Sister-in-laws wedding and got to spend some time with my son, his fiance (Amber) and her 5 year old daughter Jetta.  She is just the cutest thing ever!  She is also a STAMPER!  She loves to do art and is a natural when it comes to stamping and card making.  She wanted to make a card for Amy’s wedding.  I gave her the card base, layers and ink colors, but the rest is all her!
jettas-card-for-amy-1Didn’t she do a great job?  The theme of the wedding was Tiffany, so the card base (8.5″ x 5.5″, scored at 4.25″) is Basic Black, the next layer (5.25″ x 4″) is Coastal Cabana and the top (5″ x 3.75″) is Whisper White.  She stamped the flower from the Stampin’ Up! Everything Eleanor stamp set in Coastal Cabana ink.  She chose the 1/8″ silver ribbon and placed it on top and bottom of the Whisper White layer.  She adhered the ribbon with glue dots – she loves those things (had to leave a roll with her – *grin*).

Stampin’ Tip: We wrapped it around the back of the Whisper White layer before adhering to the Coastal Cabana layer, with snail adhesive, to hide the ends.

She saw the rhinestones in my bag and HAD to put some of those on there.  She chose how many and the placement and did an awesome job – don’t you think?
jettas-card-for-amy-2On the inside of the card, she adhered a 5.25″ x 4″ layer of Whisper White and stamped the saying “May all your dreams come true, happy wedding day!” from the Stampin’ Up! Big News stamp set in Coastal Cabana ink.  She then decided it needed more flowers – so it would match the outside.  She then punched a few butterflies from the leftover Basic Black and Coastal Cabana card stock – using the Elegant Butterfly and Bitty Butterfly  punches.  They, too, adhered beautifully with the glue dots.  She is a five year old girl, so of course it needed the rhinestones in the center of the bitty butterflies – *grin*.  I will not be posting any photos of our beautiful Jetta without her moms permission – so, sorry if you wanted a photo of her.  Trust me – she is beautiful though – inside and out!
hubby-and-I-at-weddingHere is a pic of the hubby and I at the wedding.

lv-view-from-high-rollerWe were lucky enough to have our cousin score us some free tickets to ride the High Roller – the giant Farris Wheel that gives an awesome view of the strip in Las Vegas, NV.  Thank you, Dana! Do you see the fountains at Bellagio going off in the middle.  That was gorgeous from up there!
card-box-at-weddingThis beautiful handmade card box made of Tiffany boxes was made for Amy by a friend of hers.  Isn’t it beautiful?!?  Going into the box is the card I made for her.  I’ll save that for a future post.
