Hi Stampers! Yesterday, it rained, all day… It was wonderful! We have been suffering a drought and the rain was a very welcome site here in Northern California! It was the perfect day for coffee and to play around with the Stampin’ Up! Perfect Blend stamp set.
I started this card with a Very Vanilla card base (8.5″ x 5.5″, scored at 4.25″). I then cut a 5.25″ x 4″ layer of Early Espresso card stock and ran it through the Stampin’ Up! Big Shot with the Chevron embossing folder and adhered that to the card base. Next I adhered a 5.25″ x 2″ strip of designer series paper from the Under the Tree paper stack. I then stamped the coffee cup twice onto Very Vanilla cardstock and twice onto scraps of designer series paper, making sure that the sleeve of the cup was stamped onto the DSP (the rest of the cup is not necessary, since we will cut this out). I cut out both coffee cups and both sleeves and attached the sleeves to the cup with snail adhesive. I adhered the bottom cup to the card with snail adhesive and the top cup with dimensionals.
I cut the small tag by hand. I have a graphic (above) showing the steps I used to do that. I then stamped the saying onto the tag, looped a little Early Espresso bakers twine through the hole and attached to the card with a dimensional.
I don’t know about you – but I’m elbows deep in making Christmas cards. Stampin’ Up! answered a plea from its customers for another christian Christmas stamp set and released a photopolymer stamp set called Gentle Peace, Item #139523 for $15.95.
Stampin’ Up! has also released a new holiday supplement catalog – filled will more wonderful holiday products. These items in the 2014 Holiday supplement are all while supplies last. So, make sure you go take a look and grab yours!
