Hi Stampers!  Hello from sunny Las Vegas, NV.  Well, actually Henderson, NV – but if I look at the horizon, I can see the Vegas strip.  We are here for my sister in laws wedding.  But, my son lives here too – so we get to see him, his fiance and our soon to be grand daughter.  Which brings me to the Princess Dress card.  I made this card with a little girl in mind.  It’s made using the “retired” Dress Up framelits.  But, the good news is that they are currently on the clearance rack, marked down from $24.95 to $14.99.  So, as you assemble your stock up and save order (October 1-6th, 15-20% off select items) – check out the clearance rack for more great deals!
belleThis card starts out with a Daffodil Delight card base – cut at 8.5″ x 5.5″, scored at 4.25″.  Next is a 5.25″ x 4″ layer of Gold Foil paper, then a 5″ x 3.75″ layer of Whisper White.  For the dress.  I used the framelits to cut one full dress in Daffodil Delight card stock, 5 more skirts in Daffodil Delight card stock and 3 skirts in Whisper White.  (To get the skirt, I just laid the skirt part of the dress onto the card stock so I cut the dress without the top.)  I layered the dresses on top of each other to get the ball gown look I wanted.  Three skirts on top, three on the bottom and the 3 Whisper White pieces just sticking out of the bottom to look like a petticoat. I them used the leaves from the Flower Flair Framelits to get the shoulder pads and the little flair at the waist.  No princess dress is complete without a little bling.  So, I added a rhinestone to the top and the two way glue pen with dazzling diamonds glitter to the skirt.
belle-insideFor the inside of the card, I used a 5.25″ x 4″ layer of Whisper White and stamped Happy Birthday in Daffodil Delight ink.  The sentiment is from the Stampin’ Up! Age Awareness photopolymer stamp set.

There you have it – a birthday card fit for any princess!
