Hi Stampers. Well, we made it. The huge storm has passed. We got almost 8 inches of rain out of it. Streets are flooded all over Northern California. We were lucky in that we didn’t have any downed trees and our power stayed on here at our house. My hubby was unable to get to work in Napa, due to closed roadways, so he stayed home and we packed up more boxes in preparation for our move this week. Today, he’s back to work and I’m back to stamping!
Today’s card has a Real Red card base (5.5″ x 8.5″, scored at 4.25″). I embossed the top of the card using our Lucky Stars Textured Embossing Folder. I then used the saying “Christmas Cheer” from the Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Christmas stamp set.
Stampin’ Tip: I used the brush end of the Real Red, Garden Green and Crushed Curry markers to apply color to the stamp. I then breathe on the stamp to apply the moisture from my breath to the ink. This technique allows me to use multiple colors on one image.
I then used the labels framelit dies to cut out the image. I find if I stamp first and then use the framelit to cut out the shape, I am able to center it in the framelit much easier. (Especially since I upgraded to the magnetic platform for my Big Shot). If you choose too, you could add a few pearls or rhinestones over the circles in the image for some added bling.
Stampin’ Tip: You can use the Stampin’ Up! blendabilities markers to change the color of your pearls or rhinestones.
All of these items used to create this card are available in my online store and are listed below with links to go purchase them.
