It’s official – we are all moved! Everything is “unpacked” but not all put away. This place is quite a bit smaller, but closer to friends and family – so VERY worth it! I now just have more “stuff” than fits. That’s OK though. I prefer a simpler life. As long as my stamping room stays intact it’s all good!
Speaking of stamp room – that’s almost all back together. I will have photos for you after the new year, when I’ve found my groove in my new space. It feels SOOOOOO good to be able to stamp again! I missed my therapy!
This week, I’ve got a few more Christmas things to show you. This card has a Garden Green card base – 5.5″ x 8.5″, scored at 4.25″ I then added a 5.25″ x 4″ layer of Very Vanilla. The splatter background was made by stamping in Garden Green onto the Very Vanilla card stock with the Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Grunge stamp set.
For the stars I used the Stampin’ Up! Bright and Beautiful stamp set with the matching star framelits. I stamped the large star onto Very Vanilla card stock with Cherry Cobbler ink and cut it out with the framelits. The middle star was cut out of Silver Glimmer paper with the star framelits and lastly the small star was stamped onto Very Vanilla card stock with Garden Green ink. These were adhered together (and then to the card front) with Stampin’ dimensionals. A rhinestone was added to the middle as a finishing touch.
The word “Joy” was cut with a framelit from the Wonderful Wreath framelit set using Cherry Cobbler cardstock. These word dies have become very popular lately. But, my big questions is how to you attach it to the card?!?
Stampin’ Tip: Stampin’ Up! has this wonderful, many times overlooked item. On page 204 of our 2013-2014 annual catalog in the upper right corner is our Transfer Adhesive Sheets. They are sheets of tiny (permanent- strong) adhesive dots. You peel back the top protective sheet, place your die cut onto the sticky dots, cover up with protective sheet and rub. When you open it up and remove the die cut, the tiny dots have stuck to the die cut allowing it to stick to the card. Very cool!
By changing the word and/or colors of this card you can make it fit just about any occasion. It’s not just for Christmas anymore. 🙂
In case you missed it on my facebook page, here are this weeks “weekly deals“:
Are you local to me and in need of a quick and creative Christmas gift? I happen to have a few card kits on hand. They make great gifts and include everything you need – minus glue and scissors.
Thank you for stopping by my blog. I hope you are inspired.
