Hi Stampers! It’s been cold around her lately, some today’s blog post called for something bright and cheery. We may not have Spring weather yet, but I can bring Spring to my craft room (and blog) in the form of a birthday card.
This cheery card starts with a Melon Mambo card base (8.5″ x 5.5″, scored at 4.25″) topped with a 5.25″ x 4″ layer of Whisper White card stock. Onto that Whisper White layer, I stamped the various butterflies from the Stampin’ Up! Papillion Potpourri stamp set in Wild Wasabi, Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo & Daffodil Delight ink. I stamped one of the bigger butterflies from the same set, twice onto scraps of Whisper White card stock with Tempting Turquoise in and punched them out with the Stampin’ Up! Elegant Butterfly punch. I mounted these to the card with tiny strips of dimensionals and put some basic pearls onto the body of the butterfly. I then stamped the “Happy Birthday to you” sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Tag It set onto a scrap of Whisper White card stock with Melon Mambo ink and punched it out with the Label Bracket punch. The sentiment is mounted with dimensionals.
As always, all these supplies can be purchased in my online store.
We also have a brand new Photopolymer stamp set that was just released “Better Than e-Mail” Item # 140463 – $15.95:
