Hi Stampers, I hope you are having a great week!  Since our big move last month, I’ve started doing some office temp work.  It’s been fun to get back out there more doing accounting and computers.  I’ve also met some new people who I’ve been able to introduce to Stampin’ Up!  But, I’m still struggling to find my new “normal” – my routine.  I’m working on making sure that routine involves a daily post on my blog and a monthly newsletter – among other things.

I’m working on my newsletter for this month – hopefully you are signed up. (If not, click here) I’m also getting back on track to mailing off birthday cards to those of you on my newsletter list that have shared your birthday and mailing address with me.  Update you information to get your birthday card!

balloon-birthdayToday’s card uses a new Celebrate Today stamp set with matching Balloon framelit dies from the new Stampin’ Up! 2015 Occasions catalog.  It starts out with a Real Red card base (8.5″ x 5.5″, scored at 4.25″).  Next is a 5.25″ x 4″ layer of Whisper White card stock.  I stamped the balloon in Pacific Point ink and stamped the confetti over the balloon in Night of Navy ink.  I then cut out a balloon with the framelit die in Garden Green card stock and stamped the confetti over that balloon in Garden Green ink.  The second balloon is adhered to the card with a few dimensionals.  This gives it a more 3D effect.  I then stamped the streamers to the balloons in Basic Grey ink and the banner in the upper right as well as the Happy in the lower left are stamped in Daffodil Delight ink, finally the word birthday was stamped in Real Red ink.  This was my first card with this stamp set, I think I’m gonna really like it.  Look for more cards to come using Celebrate Today with Balloon framelits!

Of course all these items can be purchased in my online store and I’ll provide links to each item below.  While your shopping – be sure to check out our weekly deals.  I love that they have markers and Stampin’ blendabilites on sale this week!
