Hi Stampers.  I haven’t shared a kids birthday card with you a in a while.  So, I pulled out my Boys will be Boys stamp set to make this super cute Robot card.

happy-birthday-robot

This card starts with a Basic Black card base.  It’s 8.5″ x 5.5″, scored at 4.25″.  Next is a layer of Real Red cut at 5.25″ x 4″.  I cut a 4″ x 2″ piece of Silver Foil card stock and ran it through the Big Shot with the Chevron embossing folder.  I then rubbed a piece of Basic Black card stock with the embossing buddy and stamped the robot in versamark ink.  Next I poured on some silver embossing powder and tapped off the excess and heated with the heat tool.

Stampin’ Tip: To get the gear effect, I used two sets of framelits.  I used a circle framelit that was just big enough to cut around the robot, then a starburst framelit that was slightly bigger and ran them both through the Big Shot with to cut them both at the same time.  I used the the magnetic platform to make sure they did not shift when I rolled them through the Big Shot.

The Happy Birthday was stamped in memento ink onto Whisper White card stock and cut it out with the banner framelit.  I cut out an addition banner the same size with the same banner framelit.  I layerd all the pieces onto the card base and adhered them with tape runner.  I put a small candy dot in the corner of one of the banners to look like a brad.
