Hi Stampers,

I apologize for disappearing for a bit there.  As you may have heard, I’ve been doing temp work.  I just started my most recent assignment last week.  I’m doing accounting at a winery in the Napa Valley.  I will be working full days Monday, Wednesday and Fridays.  This should give me the perfect balance between being out of the house meeting people and having time to work on continuing to build my Stampin’ Up! business.  Now, I just need to figure out my new routine…  Please bear with me, while I figure this out.

The weather has been BEAUTIFUL around here lately!  It’s hard to believe it’s mid February when it’s been clear and in the mid 70’s for several days in a row.  Today’s card reflects my feeling of Spring…
This card starts out with a Garden Green card base, 8.5″ x 5.5″ – scored at 4.25″.  Next is a 5.25″ x 4″ layer of Whisper White card stock. I used the Painted Petals stamp set and Garden Green, Strawberry Slush and Rich Razzleberry ink to stamp the flowers along the bottom part of the card.  The saying “Friends are our chosen family” is also from the Painted Petals stamp set and is stamped in Rich Razzleberry ink.  In the upper left corner I stamped the Lotus Blossom.  Lotus Blossom photopolymer stamp set is a FREE stamp set that can only be obtained during Sale-a-Bration, January 6th to March 31st.  Simply place a $50 order (any Stampin’ Up! product) during sale-a-bration and choose this as your free product.

The lotus blossom is stamped using Pink Pirouette and Strawberry Slush ink.  Stampin’ Up! has provided this awesome video showing us how to achieve this beautiful look. (See below) The stem to the lotus blossom is stamped in Garden Green ink.  The finishing touch was the beautiful butterfly from our new Butterflies thinlit dies, cut from Pink Pirouette card stock on the big shot and adhered with a small piece of a dimensional.
