Hi there Stampers! I hope your week is off to a good start. My hubby and I are fighting a cold. That seems to be the only thing reminding me it’s winter since the weather has been so beautiful here lately. Funny thing is I kinda miss a little winter. Curling up with hot cocoa and a good movie is nice once in a while. Good thing is that ANY weather is good for stamping!
Today I’m showing you a notepad case that I made using a Stampin’ Up! Clear-Mount Stamp Case. We sell them in sets of four. They are handing for storing all sorts of things in! Blendabilities, markers, other stamps, rhinestones, pearls, candy dots… I have several handy inserts that fit into the case as labels. If you are looking for something in particular just ask. Maybe I have something you can use, or can make it in PhotoShop.
The outside of this case has a piece of Painted Blooms DSP 10.5″ wide x 7″ tall. I then matted it with a piece of Blackberry Bliss card stock and trimmed it to match. The butterfly was punched out of Pink Pirouette card stock with the Elegant Butterfly punch. I adhered a few rhinestones in the middle of the butterfly to add a little bling. These pieces were adhered to the DSP and then it was slipped under the thin plastic on the outside of the case. On this cover, I also stamped the saying from the Painted Petals stamp set with Blackberry Bliss ink onto Whisper White card stock and cut it out with the tag from the Chalk Talk framelits set.
The note pad is a standard notepad from the Office Supply store. it was a little bit longer than the case, so I had the copy center at my local office supply store cut about an inch off the bottom, so they would fit. (Finished size is 5″ wide by 7″ long). They did a whole stack of them and only charged me $2 for a perfect cut. I then cut a piece of the Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper 5″ x 2″ and used sail adhesive to adhere it to the top of the pad. I then used Fast Fuse adhesive to adhere the pad to the case.
I used the envelope punch board and a 6″ x 6″ piece of Painted Blooms DSP to create the small envelope in the left inside of the case. The pen is a Pentel RSVP pen with a .75″ x 3.5″ piece of Painted Blooms DSP rolled up and inserted in the tube. These make great gifts and work well to carry in your car or bag to take notes and keep them from getting messed up because the case protects the paper.
If you would like to make one of these, you can purchase all the items you need in my store. As of January 1st, 2015, with each purchase you earn Royalty Points towards free gifts from me.
Lisa, This is so beautiful. What a great gift to give someone special. or to keep for yourself.
I think your style is so amazing. You have great taste. Your stamping ideas are so amazing. Thank you for sharing this great note book with all of of. Happy Stamping. I would like to give you a real special preesent. You can have as much snow as youu want. we have so much snow we can not put it any place. I would love to have you have some nice cold snow. I would not want you missing some snow. (LOL) Hugs, Ellen Hinds from Rochester, new York
LOL – hold up. Don’t send too much. I said I wanted a LITTLE winter. I like a LITTLE snow, as long as I don’t have to go out and drive around in it. We lived in New Mexico for 10 years and I loved to watch it through the window – not be out in it…
Lisa… Fantastic! I love this! Thank you so much for the inspiration. Guess what my mom is getting for Mother’s Day this year. 🙂
I’d love to see how you put your spin on it, you have great style! I bet your Mom will LOVE it!
I have made these before and had forgotten about them. I hadn’t seen the envelope. Ideas for using the envelope? Intriguing.
I often have a gift using the new in-colors for my loyal customers-water bottle tags, desktop easel sort of sticky note holder. I just might have found my answer, suggesting it could be used to note their wish list for the new catty . . .
