Hi Stampers, I hope you are having a great weekend! I’m spending my Sunday at the Flamingo Hotel in Santa Rosa doing a vendor fair. If you are local, come on by between 10am and 5pm to check out all my crafty stuff!Today’s card is a “joy fold” card. It starts out with a Smokey Slate card base that is 8.5″ x 4.25″, scored at 5.5″. Then there is a second card base that will nest inside of the first one: That card base is 8″ x 3″, scored at 4″ made of Real Red card stock. The outer card base has a 4″ x 2.75″ layer of Stampin’ Up! Flashback designer series paper (DSP). The inside card base has two layers of Very Vanilla card stock cut to 3.75″ x 2.75″, one for the inside and one for the outside of the card.
I adhered the Real Red card base into the Smoky Slate card base so that they nest inside each other, swinging from the opposite sides. (See photo above) The word “smile” was stamped using the Stampin’ Up! So Typefelt stamp set, which has unfortunately been discontinued, but can be recreated using any of our alphabet stamp sets. The camera was stamped using the Stampin’ Up! Snapshot stamp and colored using alcohol markers. For the lens I used crystal effects to give it a real lens-like look to it.
Next I punched a 1 1/4″ inch circle of Daffodil Delight card stock and a 1″ circle of Very Vanilla card stock. I stamped “hi” from the Stampin’ Up! Regarding Dahlias stamp set, in Tuxedo Black Memento ink, onto the Very Vanilla circle. I adhered the smaller circle to the larger one with a dimensional. Then I adhered them to the card with another dimensional placed to the left of the circle, so that the top card can tuck under the circles on the right side.
