Hi Stampers! It’s that time again. Time for another Pals Paper Arts color challenge. I just love the color combo they picked this time around. I found it so calming to work with. The colors also reminded me that my cruise to the Caribbean with my hubby for our 25th wedding anniversary is just six short weeks away! We used Pool Party, Mint Macaroon & Tip Top Taupe.
This card starts out with a Mint Macaroon card base (8.5″ x 5.5″, scored at 4.25″). Next up is a 5.25″ x 4″ layer of Tip Top Taupe card stock. Next up is a 4″ x 3.75″ layer of Pool Party card stock that I ran through the big shot with the Chevron Embossing folder. I stamped the larger butterfly from the Watercolor Wings stamp set onto a 4.25″ x 3″ layer of Very Vanilla card stock. I stamped the base of the butterfly in Pool Party ink, then the accents of the wings over the top of that using Mint Macaroon ink. I stamped the body and antennas in Tip Top Taupe. I sponged the edges of this layer with Pool Party ink and adhered it with dimensionals. As a final touch I used the two way glue pen and some dazzling diamonds glitter to give the butterfly a touch of sparkle.
I hope you like it as much as I do. Give these colors a try yourself and play along with us at Pals Paper Arts.
