Hi Stampers. Today’s post is a “Thank You” to one of my uplines, Mary Fish. I posted a photo of my Charlie Brown punch art card and got picked by the Gallery Bandit to receive $25 in Stampin’ Up! credit. I picked the Made with Love stamp set. I’ve been finding myself in need to baby cards lately. While my friends are no longer having little ones, my children’s friends are having babies! (How did I get old enough for that?!?!) With my new stamp set, I quickly made this sweet baby girl card.
The base is Pink Pirouette card stock (8.5″ x 5.5″, scored at 4.25″). On top of that is a piece of Designer Series Paper from the English Garden pack, it is cut 2.75″ x 5.25″ and adhered to the right side of the card front. Next I stamped on Whisper White card stock using the baby onesie and the “made with love” stamp with Pink Pirouette ink and cut it out with the #7 circle framelit (counting from the inside out). Next I cut the #8 circle using Pink Pirouette card stock and adhered that behind my Whisper White circle. I adhered both of these to a Tea Lace Paper Doily. I adhered that to the left side of my card front with a little hanging off the left side. I trimmed the excess off with my paper snips. To add the sentiment, I stamped onto Whisper White card stock and trimmed it down with a small flag on the end, then I matted that with Melon Mambo card stock and adhered it to the card front, again with it hanging off the left side and trimming the excess off with paper snips.
For the inside of the card I used a 4″ x 5.25″ piece of Whisper White card stock, where I stamped the inside sentiment and a few hearts with little stuffed animals in the lower corners.
Stampin’ Tip: To get the stuffed animals without the words on that stamp, I inked it up and then cleaned the ink off of the words with an alcohol free diaper wipe. (make sure they are alcohol free or they will dry out your stamps and the rubber may crack).
I also stamped on the lower left corner of the front of the envelope with a little stuffed animal and lined the envelope with the same Designer Series Paper.
