Hi Stampers, welcome to the first Pals Paper Arts challenge of the new year.  We have spiced things up a bit and hope that you like our new improvements.  Today we have a sketch challenge and I created this fun birthday card.

This card starts with a Watermelon Wonder card base, 8.5″ X 5.5″, scored at 4.25″.  (Watermelon Wonder is one of the 2015-2017 in-colors.) Next was the fun balloon pattern from the Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper stack.  The DSP was cut to 5.25″ X 3.5″ and adhered to the card base, towards the top of the card. Next is a 4.75″ X 1.5″ strip of Cucumber Crush card stock. (Cucumber Crush is another one of the 2015-2017 in-colors.)  On that strip I stamped the Happy Birthday from the Celebrate Today stamp set in Cucumber Crush ink. These two layers were adhered to the card base with snail adhesive.  The balloon was cut from Crushed Curry card stock using the Balloon framelits that coordinate with the Celebrate Today stamp set. The sparkles on the balloon are a stamp from that stamp set, stamped in Crushed Curry ink. The balloon was then attached to the card with a few stampin’ dimensionals.

I invite you to join us over at Pals Paper Arts and show us what you come up with using this layout.

Happy Stamping,
