Hi Stampers.  Happy New Year!  Welcome to 2016!  Today is a cold one here in Northern California.  Not as cold as back east where there is snow, I know, but that’s WHY I’m in California.  My parents are from the Chicago suburbs – it’s plenty cold out there!  Anyway…  It made me want to make a winter card.  So, I broke out my Woodlands Textured Embossing Folder and my Lovely as a Tree stamp set (and a little glitter *wink*). I think you will really like this stamped embossing folder technique.

This card started with a Garden Green card base (8.5″ x 5.5″, scored at 4.25″) and a piece of Whisper White card stock 5.25″ x 4″.  I used the tree from the Stampin’ Up! Lovely as a Tree stamp set and stamped directly onto the Stampin’ Up! Woodland Textured Embossing Folder (the side where the background was raised) and then carefully inserted the Whisper White layer into the folder and ran it through the big shot.  I then adhered this layer to the card base with snail adhesive.  To give the appearance of snow, I used the two way glue pen and dazzling diamonds glitter.

For the interior of the card, I use the a 4″ x 5.25″ piece of Whisper White card stock and stamped the the greeting and half of the tree in Garden Green ink on each side of that layer before adhering it to the inside of the card.  Using the same stamp and same ink, made the interior of the card co-ordinate with the outside of the card.  Having the tree hang off each edge made it look more natural and gave more room in the middle for writing my note to the recipient. Happy Stamping,
