Hi Stampers,
I’m back today with another sketch challenge from Pals Paper Arts. One look at this card and I knew the fancy fold that it needed to be and with all the talk from Stampin’ Up! about “Bringing Birthday’s Back” (#imbringingbirthdaysback), I knew it needed to be a birthday card.
This Daffodil Delight card base is 8.5″ x 5.5″, scored at 2.75″ & 7″ then folded to the middle.
On the front of the card I used a 3.25″ x 3.75″ piece of Mint Macaron card stock with a 3″ x 3.5″ piece of confetti DSP from the “It’s my Party” DSP. These were layered with snail adhesive and adhered to just the left side of the card front with snail adhesive, the is no adhesive on the right side, so the card will open. I used the balloon bouquet punch to punch out a balloon from a scrap of Melon Mambo card stock. I gave it a little highlight with a white gel pen and adhered it to the confetti paper with glue dots. I stamped the sentiment “happy day” from the Sale-a-bration set “Perfect Pairing” in Melon Mambo ink on to a 2.25″ x .75″ scrap of Whisper White card stock. I flagged the end of the piece with paper snips and adhered it to the card on the lower right of the confetti piece with glue dots.
For the interior of the card I used a 5.25″ x 4″ piece of confetti DSP from the “It’s my Party” DSP. Then a 3.25″ x 4.5″ piece of Whisper White card stock. I sponged the edges with Melon Mambo ink and stamped the sentiment from the Just Kidding stamp set in Mint Macaron ink. I’m really happy with how it came out. I hope it encourages you to get out your stamps, ink and paper and play along with Pals Paper Arts!
