Hi Stampers. I hope you enjoyed our Stampin’ Pretty Pals “Families First” blog hop yesterday – there were some awesome projects showcased!  There are many more fabulous works of art over at Pals Paper Arts this week too for our latest sketch challenge.  I chose to use a stamp set that I just earned from Sale-a-bration 2016 called “Party Pants” and our “It’s My Party” DSP.

PPA296 Stampin' Up! Party Pants Birthday cardThis starts out with a Tip Top Taupe card base – 8.5″ x 5.5″, scored at 4.25″. Over that I layered some 4″ x 2.25″ Mint Macaroon card stock with the 3.75″ x 2″ balloons on white DSP, then the 5.25″ x 1.75″ Melon Mambo with the 5″ x 1.5″ confetti on black DSP.  I used Mint Macaroon & Melon Mambo markers to color the sentiment stamp and then stamped it onto Whisper White card stock and cut it out with the number 3 (counting from inside out) circle framelit.  I used a stampin’ dimensional to adhere that to a Crushed Curry circle of card stock cut with the number 4 circle framelit.

PPA296 Stampin' Up! Party Pants Birthday card insideThe inside of the card I decorated with more sentiment stamps in Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight inks.  I then stamped a few random balloons to this 5.25″ x 4″ Whisper White layer and the front left corner of the medium Whisper White envelope (which was lined with matching DSP using the Envelope Framelits).  There is a “string” stamp in the stamp set, but I just used a project life journaling pen to draw the strings so I could make them a little more animated.

Why don’t you pop on over to Pals Paper Arts and try your hand at this weeks sketch – I’d love to see what you come up with!
