Hi Stampers. Today’s card is another Pals Paper Arts challenge.  Each of the design team members was asked to come up with a sketch to submit. (I have to admit, I was TERRIBLE at this.  Big thanks to my fellow Pal, Nicole Watt, for helping me out.)  This was the sketch I ended up submitting to the team.  This week you get to try your hand at it!

PPA-304-June09

This is my card.  It is made using the new Jars of Love stamp set and the Swirly Bird framelit dies.

PPA304 by Lisa Ann Bernard of Queen B Creations using the Jars of Love stamp set and the swirly bird framelit dies

The card base is done in Always Artichoke and then a 4″ x 5.25″ layer of DSP from the Regals Designer Series Paper stack in Crushed Curry.  The Always Artichoke swirl behind my image is from the Swirly Bird die cut set. My feature image is a jar stamped in Smokey Slate ink and then water stamped inside the jar with Marina Mist ink.  I stamped the stems in Always Artichoke ink and the flowers in Crushed Curry ink.  I added the bow to the top of the jar with Crumb Cake ink.  I had to remove some ink from the ends of the stamp to make it fit, it’s made to go lower on the jar.

For this card I really wanted to use Crystal Effects, but it retired when the new catalog came out last week.  Some one said use the fine tip glue pen, “its the same stuff”.  Well, I tried it – it’s not exactly the same stuff.  But it did work in giving the water more of a “wet” look and a 3D look to it.  As tends to be my style, I finished the card of with some sparkle by adding rhinestones to the center of each flower.  I hope my card inspires you to pop over to Pals Paper Arts and submit your card make using this sketch.

Happy Stamping,
