Hi Stampers. I was running late last week and didn’t get my post made for the Pals Paper Arts sketch challenge. I did, however, get my card made and still want to share it with you! For this sketch challenge I used the soon to be released Star of Light Stamp set and coordinating framelits. These new items will be released in our new Stampin’ Up! 2016 Holiday Catalog on September 1st. I already have my catalogs and have been giving them out. If you don’t have a demonstrator and would like a free copy of this awesome catalog, just let me know, I’d be happy to send you one. You are going to love it!
I started my card with an Elegant Eggplant card base (8.5″ x 5.5″, scored at 4.25″). I then placed a 5.25″ x 4″ layer of Silver foil paper over that. I placed a 4″ x 1/5″ strip of Dazzling Diamond glimmer paper across the center of the card. Next I added a 5.25″ x 1.25″ strip of Elegant Eggplant card stock down the middle. I stamped the star in Elegant Eggplant ink onto Whisper White card stock and cut it out with the matching framelit from the Starlight Thinlit dies. The star was then adhered to the center of my card front using stampin’ dimensionals. I finished it off with some bling by adding 3 rhinestones to the upper right corner and one in the center of the star.
For the interior of the card, I used a 5.25″ x 4″ layer of Whisper White card stock. I stamped Merry Christmas in Versamark ink and covered it with Silver embossing powder and melted it with the Stampin’ Up! Heat Tool. The verse below that and the stars in the upper right and lower left corner were stamped in Elegant Eggplant ink. (I apologize for the poor lighting on the photos, I’ve been having some frustrating lighting issues lately.)
