Hi Stampers.  I’ve been blessed this year to be part of a great team of very talented stampers over at Pals Paper Arts.  Today is the final post for Pals Paper Arts and it’s a sketch challenge – the team I’m on.  So, I’m playing my last PPA sketch challenge. 🙁

Today’s card uses a Marina Mist card base, 8.5″ x 5.5″, scored at 4.25″.  Next I cut a piece of paper from the “A Little Foxy” DSP paper stack 5″ x 3.5″.  I then cut a strip out of the middle diagonally.  I mounted these pieces onto Basic Grey card stock to matte them.  I adhered them to the card leaving a gap in the middle and a strip on the right side (like the sketch showed).  That right edge looked a little funny to me all blank, so I used the snowflake from the Hang Your Stockings stamp set with Versamark ink and Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder.

My focal point was the two stockings made from Marina Mist, Whisper White and a touch of Basic Grey card stock.  I used the stitching and the snowflakes on the stockings with the Versamark ink pad and Silver Stampin’ Emboss powder.  Before adhering them to the card, I wrapped a long piece of Silver Cording Trim around three fingers and adhered the two ends together and to the center of the card with a glue dot.  I then tried to twist the cording in various directions and adhered the stockings over the top of the cording.  The bottom stocking was adhered with snail adhesive and the top stocking was adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For the interior of the card I used the Merry Christmas sentiment in the center and snowflakes in the corners, all with Marina Mist ink.

I hope this card inspires you to get inky and head over to Pals Paper Arts to play along with our farewell sketch.

Happy Stamping,
