Hi Stampers. I’m going to try something new today. In classic Facebook style I’m going to do a Flashback Thursday post.  I’m using a stamp set that has been retired. I figure they may be a few of you out there who have some retired stamp sets that you may be looking for ideas so you can blow the dust off of them and put them back to use.  With all the rain today, I’ve been in a “fall” kind of mood

Thanksgiving gatefold card made using Stampin' Up! For All Things stamp set (retired) by Queen B Creations

This card starts out with a Garden Green gate fold card base.  8.5″ x 5.5″, scored at 2 1/8″ and 6 3/8″.  Each side folds in and they meet in the middle.  I used the (retired) For All Things stamp set and stamped the leaf on the front of the card with the Versamark inkpad.  This gives a great watermarked look on any color.  I then used the banner framelits and cut out one of the larger banners from Eggplant Envy card stock and used one side down on the banner framelits to cut out a banner in Very Vanilla card stock.  On the Very Vanilla banner I used more of the For All Things stamp set and stamped the background to the sentiment in (retired) Delightful Dijon ink and stamped the sentiment in Eggplant Envy ink.  I layered the banners together adhering with snail adhesive and then centered in on the card base and adhered the left half to the left flap on the card. (Note: I did not adhere the right side to the ard base at all, so that it would open.)  The interior of the card is lined with a 5.25″ x 4″ layer of Very Vanilla card stock.

Remember, just because stamps are retired, doesn’t mean we love them any less. 🙂  Did into your stash and see what things you can combine with new product and get fun new creations!

Happy Stamping,
