Hi Stampers. For my first card after vacation I thought it appropriate to do a card using the Stampin’ Up! Seaside Shore stamp set.  This card reminds me of snorkeling in the Caribbean – which is FANTASTIC!  The water is soooo clear and the fish are so colorful!

This card starts out with a Crumb Cake card base (8.5″ x 5.5″, scored at 4.25″).   Next I cut a piece of Pool Party card stock 5.25″ x 4″ and cut a circle out of the middle with the layering circles framelit dies and then ran it through my Big Shot with the Seaside Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  I stamped the fish (in Cajun Craze and Basic Black & Crushed Curry ink) and bubbles (in Pool Party ink) onto a piece of Whisper White card stock.  I cut out two more smaller circles using the layering circles framelit dies and stamped the fish on one in Night of Navy ink and the starfish and sea shell in crumb cake onto the other.

Stampin’ Tip:  I was able to use two ink colors on the Angel fish by using Stampin’ Up! markers and coloring directly onto the rubber with the brush tip with the Basic Black and Crushed Curry markers instead of using an ink pad. Just color onto the rubber, breathe onto the stamp (to re-wet the ink with the moisture in your breathe) and then stamp onto the paper.

I placed the Whisper White paper with the two fish behind the circle I cut out of the Pool Party layer and then adhered that to the card base with snail adhesive.  The I attached the two smaller circles to the front of the card below and to the right of the larger circle.

For the interior of the card I used a 5″ x 3.75″ layer of Whisper White card stock and stamped the seaweed in Wild Wasabi ink and the sentiment “Hoping your day goes swimmingly” with Night of Navy ink and adhered it to the interior of the card base with snail adhesive.  I used Crumb Cake and Night of Navy ink to stamp various stamps from the set onto the flap of the envelope to make it a matched set. I hope this card inspires you to get out your stamps and ink and play.
