Hi Stampers.  This graduation year is an emotional one for our group of friends.  While my kids have been out of high school for a while now, some of our friends have high school seniors graduating this year.  Way back when a bunch of us were trying to start up a new church and became very close friends though fellowship, bible studies and church.  The youngest of that group of children are the ones graduating high school this year.  It feels a bit like the end of an era.  I’m happy to say that the church is still growing (and doing very well!), most of us couples are still married, the kids are doing very well for themselves!

2017 Graduation Card using Numbers Framelits and Bravo stamp set by Queen B CreationsThis card is done in Elegant Eggplant, Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper and Silver glimmer paper.  Two of the kids are graduating from my alma mater – Petaluma High School, whose color are purple and white.  The Elegant Eggplant card base is 8.5″ x 5.5″, scored at 4.25″.  Next was a 5.5″ x 3.25″ layer of Silver Glimmer paper.  I used the Large Number framelit dies to cut out the 2017 (saving the 2017 for another card).  I then cut two strips of Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper 5.5″ x .5″ and adhered one to the top and one to the bottom of the Silver glimmer layer with mini glue dots, then it was all attached to the card base with snail adhesive.

2017 Graduation Card using Numbers Framelits and Bravo stamp set by Queen B CreationsFor a graduation cap, I cut a 1″ square out of Basic Black card stock and used the small framelit from the Balloon framelit die set and a scrap of Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper to make the tassel.

2017 Graduation Card using Numbers Framelits and Bravo stamp set by Queen B CreationsOn the inside I used an older stamp from the retired “Bravo” stamp set.  I stamped this is Elegant Eggplant ink onto a 5.25″ x 4″ layer of Whisper White card stock.
