Hi Stampers.  Happy May Day!  Today is May first, that means Spring has Sprung and that means wedding season is right around the corner!  I’ve started working on some wedding cards to add to my Etsy shop.  The Stampin’ Up! Bloomin’ Heart Thinlit Die lends itself perfectly to weddings.

This card starts out with a Whisper White card base (using the Thick Whisper White – this is the new 80lb Whisper White – it’s great for card bases) 8.5″ x 5.5″, scored at 4.25″.  Next us is a 5.25″ x 4″ layer of Dazzling Diamonds card stock.  I used the Stampin’ Up! Blooming Heart Thinlit Die to cut the heart out of a 5″ x 3.75″ layer of Shimmery Whisper White card stock (this has a really pretty shimmer to the card stock).  I used the big shot die brush to remove all the small pieces from the heart and inset it back into it’s frame and adhered the Shimmery White layer on top of the Dazzling Diamonds layer using stampin’ dimensionals.

Onto a 1″ x 3″ strip of Shimmery White card stock, I stamped the sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Big News stamp set (retired) in Vesamark ink and used silver stampin’ emboss powder and heated it with my heat tool. I matted that with a 1.25″ x 3.25″ strip of Silver Foil card stock and adhered the two to the front of the card.  I then added Rhinestones to the middle of the flowers.

On the interior of the card, I stamped the flowers from the Bloomin’ Love stamp set in Smokey Slate ink.  It came out simple yet very elegant.  I love it!

Happy Stamping,
