The-Remarkable-Inkbig-Blog-HopHi Stampers.  Happy Mother’s Day and Welcome to the Remarkable InkBig Blog Hop for May 2017. This month our theme is sneak peek.  We are showcasing items that are available in the 2017-2018 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog starting on June 1st.   That’s coming up quickly – hopefully you already have your hot little hands on one of these awesome new catalogs, but if you don’t (and don’t already have a demonstrator) I have one ready to mail to you! Just ask – they are FREE and full of ideas!

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog – Queen B Creations or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.

Stampin' Up! Crafting Forever in Berry Burst and Powder Pink (new in-colors) New Catalog Sneak Peek by Queen B CreationsWhen I saw the new catalog I KNEW I had to have this fun new stamp set called Crafting Forever.  It’s adorable and I can see myself using it a lot to make cards for my crafty friends.  The card also features two new “in-colors” – Berry Burst and Powder Pink.

Stampin' Up! Crafting Forever in Berry Burst and Powder Pink (new in-colors) New Catalog Sneak Peek by Queen B CreationsThe card starts with a Berry Burst card base (8.5″ x 5.5″, scored at 4.25″), followed by a 5.25″ x 4″ layer of powder pink card stock and then a 4.75″ x 3.5″ layer of Whisper White. I stamped onto the Whisper White layer with Berry Burst ink and sponged it around the edges and sponged it on the bottom to form the surface these cute craft supplies are sitting on.  I cut two 1/2″ strips of card stock and used my triple banner punch to flag the ends and added a few rhinestone basic jewels for some bling and to fill in the blank space above.

Stampin’ Tip: The “stamp” in the front that says “made with love” was stamped first.  I then stamped it again onto a post it note and cut it out and put it over the stamp on my card. I then stamped the pot of brushes and removed the post it note.  This makes the stamp appear to be in the foreground.  It’s called the “masking technique”.

Crafting Forever in Berry Burst and Powder Pink (new in-colors) New Catalog Sneak Peek by Queen B CreationsI followed it up with a 5.25″ x 4″ layer of Whisper White card stock on the inside and stamped with Berry Burst again.  (I know some people shy away from the outline stamps that appear to need to be colored in – but this quick and easy card shows you that they don’t really need to be colored in.)

I have included a list of supplies used below.  Again, these are available to purchase from me (or any Stampin’ Up! demonstrator) as of June 1st.  As the card says “Do something creative every day”.  I do and it’s great for my mental health!!

Thanks for taking part in our blog hop, there are so many amazing ideas and inspiration you don’t want to miss. Remember that currently you are at my blog – Queen B Creations, so check the blog hop line up list to see who is next in the list.
