Hi Stampers.
Welcome to the Blog Hop for July 2017. This month our theme is “Sparkle”. You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog – Queen B Creations or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.
This card starts with a THICK Whisper White card base 8.5″ x 5.5″, scored at 4.25″. Next I used a 5.25″ x 4″ piece of Pink Pirouette card stock and used the butterfly thinlit die to cut the butterfly out of the layer with the big shot. I pushed out all the internal pieces and set the butterfly aside. I then used the versamark ink pad and a butterfly stamp from the Watercolor Wings stamp set to stamp the butterfly randomly around the layer. I then sprinkled it with iridescent ice stampin’ emboss powder, tapped off the excess to put back into the jar and heated it with the heat tool. I then randomly stamped the dots with Pink Pirouette ink.
I then placed the butterfly back into the space I had just cut it out of and placed two pieces of packing tape to the back of the layer holding the butterfly in place and leaving the sticky exposed on the front of the layer. I then sprinkled dazzling diamond glitter over the exposed sticky and tapped off the excess to put back into the jar. I added a strip of rhinestones down the body for more sparkle. (I love that these small rhinestones from the rhinestone basic jewels in already adhered together in a self adhesive strip, it made adding this to the body was super easy!)
I then wrapped a piece of 5/8″ Whisper White Satin Ribbon around the Pink Pirouette layer and tied a knot in front and then used snail adhesive to adhere this layer to the card base.
On the interior of the card I stamped the sentiment and dots in Pink Pirouette ink and added a 5.5″ x .5″ strip of Pink Pirouette card stock to the outer edge.
I hope this idea “sparkles” up some ideas and gets you stamping!
