Hi Stampers. Welcome to the Global Stamping Friends First Anniversary Blog Hop. We hope you enjoy our project and are inspired to break out the stamps and ink.
I’m featuring a custom handmade birthday card I made as a special order from my Etsy store. Can you guess who it’s for?
I’ve started with a Basic Black card base using my Card in a Box template – see more info on that HERE. I then covered it with Gold Glimmer Paper. I used the Stampin’ Up! Number of Years stamp set and the Large Numbers framelits to make the “Look who’s turning 82” on the back. I sponged the edges with Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie ink using sponge daubers. I just LOVE the new MINI stampin’ dimensionals They worked great for attaching the numbers to the back.
The piano and flames were cut out using my Silhouette Cameo, using Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry and Gold Foil card stock. That was used as my focal point based on the store HERE. The car, records, record label and dog are his. I printed the photos onto Whisper White card stock and cut them out with my paper snips. I did the same thing with the guns and the words God and Family. I used Basic Black ink and a stamp from the retired stamp set Happy Happenings to stamp onto a balloon I punched out of Crushed Curry card stock with the Stampin’ Up! Balloon punch.
The flap on the left side has the badge from the One Wild Ride stamp set embossed onto Pumpkin Pie card stock. I then used white embossing powder to emboss the work “journey” onto a piece of Basic Black card stock, flagged the ends and placed it over the word journey on the badge with mini stampin’ dimensionals to give it some extra pop.
The buyer requested a custom message on the right flap, I have blurred out the names to protect the buyers identity. This custom handmade birthday ard was ALOT of fun to create! I hope he loves it as much as I loved making it!
