Hi Stampers. HAPPY NEW YEAR! Happy Stampin’ Up! new year that is…. 🙂 October 1st starts off a new adventure for my husband and I in Idaho (just arrived last night) and it’s also the start of the new Stampin’ Up! year. While that may not feel like it affects you – it indirectly does, because it affects me.
One of the things that the new year signifies is the new incentive trip. As a Stampin’ Up! demo, I have the option to earn a cruise to Greece sailing out of Rome Italy! That sounds amazing and I’m gonna work hard at trying to earn it and that means great things are coming your way in the form of more blog posts, mailing out more cards to customers, more activities for my team members, many more classes (hopefully out of our new home, in Twin Falls, ID), more newsletter updates and exclusive offers to my newsletter subscribers. You are signed up for the newsletter aren’t you?!?! If not, sign up here so you don’t miss out!
You too, could strive to earn this amazing trip too by being a Stampin’ Up! (business) demo and part of my team!
This card has a Smoky Slate card base – 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, scored at 4 1/4. Next I used a 5 1/2″ x 2″ strip of Berry Burst card stock and used the triple banner bunch to notch the end. I stamped the little dots in Smoky Slate ink onto the Smoky Slate card stock and the Berry Burst ink onto the Berry Burst card stock.
For the focal point I started with a piece of Sweet Sugarplum card stock cut out with a circle from the Stitched Shapes framelit dies. Then I cut out a scalloped circle of Basic Gray card stock with the layering circles framelit dies. Then I cut a piece of Whisper White card stock with a smaller circle from the Stitched Shapes framelit dies. I stamped the top layer of the flower from the Stampin’ Up! Painted Harvest stamp set using Sweet Sugarplum ink for the flower and Smoky Slate ink for the center. I layered these one on top of the other with stampin’ dimensionals between the Sweet Sugarplum and Basic Gray layer. That is also where I looped the Sweet Sugarplum glitter ribbon before adhering them together.
For the inside of the card I used a 5 1/4″ x 4″ layer of Whisper White card stock. I stamped the flower from the Painted Harvest stamp set in the upper left and lower right corner using Sweet Sugarplum ink for the flower and Smoky Slate ink for the center. Berry Burst ink was used to stamp the sentiment.
I just love this color combo!
